BWC 2025 in Comelico Superiore (Belluno, Italy)

The 33rd gay mountain hiking camp will take place from Saturday, 2 August to Saturday, 30 August 2025 in Valgrande (Comelico Superiore) at the foot of the Sexten Dolomites. We will be staying in a 19th century gem, the Villa Grande (map: Soggiorno Alpino Don Bosco), surrounded by forests and meadows below the Kreuzberg Pass at an altitude of 1280 metres.

The Three Peaks of Lavaredo (Tre Cime di Lavaredo) are very close to the west – the view of the steep north faces is one of the most famous landscapes in the Alps. To the east rises the Carnic main ridge with the Great Kinigat (Monte Cavallino, 2689 m). The region on the border with Austria was heavily contested during the First World War. Today, the summit cross (European cross) symbolises the renewed peace between the once hostile ethnic groups. The entire area is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Both regions offer a wide range of hiking opportunities of varying difficulty, from easy hikes to challenging via ferratas, as well as cable car ascents. The whole area is one of the most sought-after summit destinations in the Alps for climbers.

Our house has many single and double rooms and some multi-bed rooms (3-4 persons). In addition to a dining room, there are two lounges and even a chapel with a prayer room.

Registration will open in February 2025.
